Rachel Halamandres B.Med.Sc (Hons) -Director
Rachel is a medical scientist by training, with a keen interest in all aspects of medicine, symptom management and treatment. Before joining All Terrain Mobility Rachel worked in recruitment, sales and business development. Rachel's initial role was to raise awareness of the business but as we have become busier Rachel spends a lot more time serving and advising customers doing home deliveries and demonstrations, servicing and repairs.
Elizabeth Halamandres - Director
Meet our chief engineer! Before she jointly started the business with Ian, Liz worked as a primary school teacher and before this raised four children! Prior to opening the shop, Liz spent five years repairing, refurbishing and rebuilding Dutch ex health service scooters which were sold via the Internet. So she knows scooters inside out! Liz is a factory trained, highly experienced scooter engineer and carries out most of the servicing and repairs.
Ian Halamandres - Director
Before opening the shop in 2009, Ian spent five years with Liz importing a unique type of ex health service, heavy duty mobility scooter from Holland, fully rebuilding and refurbishing them to a very high “almost as new” standard, and then selling them via Ebay. Together they rebuilt about 400 of these scooters, sending them to far flung destinations all over the UK, and as far away as Ethiopia, Madeira and Lithuania. There is not much that Ian doesn’t know about mobility scooters and his speciality is fault diagnosis. Ian also deals with all our wheelchair adapted vehicles and stairlift sales.
Before starting his own business Ian worked as an estate agent. Ian being also a qualified scooter engineer is involved with repairs but mainly he is involved with customer service,advertising, purchasing and generally making sure that the business is run to a high standard.
Freddy Halamandres - Head of Security (In training)
Freddy is our guard dog. He tries hard to be vigilant but occasionally can be found sleeping on the job. Freddy is fond of walks, food, cuddles and mischief.
